Food Allergies

I think that we have all heard about people who have had a terrible and sometimes life threatening experience with a food allergy. Usually it is with strawberries, nuts or shellfish- 3 foods that many of us have to avoid.

ADDING MUSCLE, GETTING LEANER WITHOUT TRADITIONAL CARDIO

We had a month long fitness competition at Test Sports Club, here in N.J. Among the challenges were a 3 minute rower challenge and a indoor Prowler bench challenge. Just working all month to improve those events, and beat my competitors, I had great results. At the end of the month I went to see my nutritionist, Dr. Tom Bilella. I added muscle, lost fat and when I did a treadmill cardio test- I improved my recovery heart rate. Strength Training

STRENGTH TRAINING- what’s really better- machines or free weights?
Like most topics, it’s not that black and white. There are good features to training with your own bodyweight, with free weights or using selectorized machines.

MACHINES- they’re great for beginners because of their stability, simplicity, safety, adjustability and comfort. If machines are properly set, they reinforce proper form. Circuit training with machines is a great way to improve your muscular strength & endurance. If performed intensely and quickly enough, it’s a effective way to improve aerobically as well.
